Démarche et message photographique
La démarche photographique du projet Méditerranée, terroir divin s’inscrit dans un travail de terrain au long cours. Chaque image est le fruit d’un sourcing précis, de rencontres, d’observations patientes et d’une immersion dans les paysages et les cultures oléicoles méditerranéennes. Au-delà d’une approche botanique ou esthétique, le projet interroge la relation intime entre l’arbre et l’humain : gestes agricoles transmis de génération en génération, récits familiaux, croyances, mythologies et usages quotidiens. L’image devient ainsi un support de mémoire et de narration.
Les oliviers millénaires sont également abordés comme de véritables indicateurs écologiques. À travers les territoires photographiés, le projet documente concrètement les effets du dérèglement climatique : sécheresses répétées, stress hydrique, dépérissement de certaines oliveraies, pression accrue sur la ressource en eau, incendies de grande ampleur, mais aussi uniformisation variétale et perte de biodiversité liées à l’intensification agricole.
Le choix du storytelling illustré permet de dépasser la simple contemplation pour proposer une lecture sensible et accessible, où la photographie dialogue avec le texte. Le message de l’exposition est double : alerter sur la fragilité de ces patrimoines vivants face aux bouleversements environnementaux, tout en célébrant la force symbolique et fédératrice de l’olivier comme trait d’union entre nature, culture et sociétés méditerranéennes.
Cette approche a récemment été reconnue au niveau international, avec l’attribution d’un prix photographique au festival Olio Officina à Milan, consacré à la culture de l’huile d’olive et au patrimoine oléicole, venant renforcer la dimension artistique et éditoriale du projet.
